L.I.F.T. the Teachers® is an online space for K-12 teachers that offers free membership, mini courses, upcoming courses and programs, and inside community membership opportunities. In this organization, you will find a growing library of resources, offers, and programs geared toward supporting teachers in ascertaining greater success in classroom teaching. This organization was founded by Shea-Alison Thompson, Ed.D who has been a classroom teacher for over 30 years.

No. L.I.F.T. the Teachers® Community membership is solely for classroom teachers. If you are an administrator, thank you for your interest, but you must be actively teaching to join our membership.

Yes. L.I.F.T. the Teachers® is for K-12 public school teachers, and this includes Pre-K and TK teachers. Welcome!

Yes. Instructional coaches are teachers! They may no longer be in the classroom facilitating curriculum, but they can be integral teacher members in a school setting. Instructional coaches may be in need of a supportive community and can also be strong communicators in problem-solving round-table discussions in our Community forums and during live coaching calls. Instructional coaches tend to have "been in the saddle a while", and could offer educational knowledge based on years of teaching experience, both to other veteran teachers, and to new teachers who could benefit from that wisdom.

Membership to L.I.F.T. the Teachers® is voluntary. A membership community is a type of business model on the Internet. Membership communities can provide opportunities for connectivity, problem-solving, and relationship-building online, at the membership site someone joins.

In this Community membership, community is the focus, with opportunities to interact with other community members in a variety of ways including live calls, insider discussions, and chat forums.

No. Community membership is for any K-12 teacher (PreK included). L.I.F.T. the Teachers® offers a special New Teacher Roundtable live call on Thursdays because new teachers can be at a higher risk of quitting K-12 teaching.

As a subscribing member, you'll have all the insider advantages! L.I.F.T. the Teachers® Community Forums are where you can connect 24/7 with other members at this site. You can also join in discussions and during live weekly calls. If you choose to subscribe, you'll gain immediate access to the Library page, which is your Community homepage and gets you started.

What teachers discuss and share in this Community is entirely up to...the teacher community members! Conversations in live calls are open-ended. This is also true also for our insider Community forums, including discussions and challenges posted there. Teachers could share successes, hardships, questions, and concerns. The goal of this organization is to provide teacher support throughout the process. The community journey is up to its members! Community guidelines for sharing are located inside the community membership space.

**Group coaching occurs during live calls. You may attend any or all of the live calls. The lead coach facilitates live calls, and members are encouraged to participate by asking questions among the group and offering feedback to other members. Group coaching is an open forum for sharing about teaching.

1:1 personal mindset coaching is a separate offer that is not currently available.

**Group coaching is not professional therapy or counseling. We do not provide mental health services or legal counsel, or tell members what to do professionally about any problems shared in group coaching live calls. Group coaching is intended only to bring self-awareness and self-discovery about the teaching process and to promote positive insights about teaching, and is for educational and informational purposes only.

No. Group coaching and mentorship are not counseling or therapy. 

L.I.F.T. the Teachers® membership does not and is not designed to replace counseling or therapy. Joining membership and participating in live calls is not the same as counseling or therapy through a mental health practitioner such as social workers, marriage/family child counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists. We do not provide those services. The purpose of this Community is to provide encouragement and support, opportunities for personal growth as educators in a membership setting. Participation in community membership is for educational and informational purposes only.
